Youth Endowment Fund (YEF)

A £3.5 million initiative has been launched to assess the effectiveness of psychological therapies administered to at-risk children throughout England and Wales, including those already involved in or susceptible to crime, violence, or the youth justice system.

Administered by the Youth Endowment Fund (YEF), the Psychological Therapies Fund invites proposals aimed at addressing psychological and emotional challenges faced by youth aged 11 to 18. Therapies may be delivered through one-to-one sessions, group settings, online platforms, or via phone.

The YEF seeks to select 2-3 projects ready for rigorous impact evaluation, to be executed over a maximum 24-month period.

Organizations of any kind, including charities, public services, and private entities, are eligible to apply. Priority will be accorded to initiatives supporting children from marginalized backgrounds, and partnership applications are encouraged.

Applicants are required to provide 20% match funding.

The application deadline is May 24, 2024.

National Lottery Heritage Grants £10,000 to £250,000

The National Lottery Heritage Grants offers funding ranging from £10,000 to £250,000 for projects that forge connections between people and communities with the rich heritage of the UK, spanning national, regional, and local narratives.

This funding initiative supports various heritage endeavours across the UK and invites applications from organizations committed to preserving and nurturing heritage.

If your project aligns with these criteria and will unfold within a maximum duration of five years, and if you require funding within the specified range, then the National Lottery Heritage Grants might suit your needs.

Wellbeing of Women Teams Up with Holland & Barrett to Launch Women’s Health Community Fund

In collaboration with Holland & Barrett, the charitable organization Wellbeing of Women has initiated a Women’s Health Community Fund. This fund is designed to provide grants of up to £5,000 to small-scale grassroots organizations and community groups within the UK.

These grants aim to facilitate the dissemination of health information and support specifically tailored to women, girls, and individuals from marginalized communities.

The funding is earmarked for projects that address the following focal areas:

  1. Enhancing access to information, education, and support regarding menstrual health and associated gynecological conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, adenomyosis, fibroids, PMDD, and menopause.
  2. Empowering and supporting individuals and communities that are often overlooked in conventional healthcare settings and mainstream services. This includes but is not limited to individuals from Black, Asian, and ethnic minority backgrounds (BAME/global majority), LGBTQI+ individuals, persons with disabilities, deaf and blind or partially sighted individuals, those experiencing homelessness or addiction, and residents of economically deprived areas.

Grants of up to £5,000 are available, allocated across a 12-month period. Funds will be distributed in two instalments, with 50% disbursed at the project’s commencement and the remaining 50% upon submission of a progress report at the six-month mark.

The application deadline for interested parties is 19th May 2024.
